hello there. my name is amanda montgomery and i am arrae photography.  arrae photography (pronounced [uh-rey]) was created in 2003 as an outlet for my early decision photography would be my career. buying my first slr at the age of 12 with my saved babysitting money.  weddings found me as the age my friends were getting married and i fell in love with the energy and creativity possibilities of the day.

a little about me should you be curious;

i love to be busy. being a business owner is good for this trait as is being a mommy.

i have three beautiful children and am lucky to have married an awesome guy that laughs at all my jokes.

i love to laugh and have been known to think myself amusing.  i will always pick a comedy if the choice is mine.  as an avid TV watcher (with all the free time i have) a few i love: 30 rock, bored to death, lost, parks and recreation and colbert report.  all hail DVR’s!

Now for some third person ramblings… Amanda Montgomery is a member of PPA, PPWM  and is currently serving as board secretary for PPWM,  Amanda is also a volunteer for Now I lay me down to Sleep, a non-profit providing bereavement photography to families that have lost an infant child.   Arrae Photography has been published in Bride’s of Michigan and Inframe Bride magazine.  Four years in a row Arrae Photography has been awarded the Bride Choice Award from Wedding Wire.
