Nicole and Cody were wed on one of the weirdest weather days I can remember. When traveling to the Millcreek barn I had to actually take an alternate route as one of the roads was completely flooded, crazy! Not to be outdone by the rain there was then a tornado that hit back home in Grand Rapids not far from my house! So just as we all thought the idea of being outdoors was going to be scratched the skies opened up and the sun shone for the ceremony and portrait time of the day, perfectly timed!!
Millcreek Barn is one of my all time favorite locations to photograph. There are so many neat little spots all in short walking distance of each other. Nicole and Cody did an amazing job of making filling the space full of personal touches. Most notably that Cody, being a chef and son of chefs, designed the menu with his parents and they made the meal also! Wonderfully done! Nicole looked amazing in her Maggie Sottero gown. They were both full of joy and smiles all day even with the crazy weather. This was a wonderful day, I’m so happy to share some of my favorite images from it with you.
POURING!
Love the new man cave added to Millcreek, perfect place for the dudes to hang out pre ceremony! This was one of the most epic dance floors I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting.
A little late night drama before saying goodnight.
Congrats Nicole and Cody! It was such an honor to be a part of your day!
Extra thanks to the exceptional Tim of Tim Kamppinen Photography for second shooting this event with me.
