Daydreaming about how warm this day was while avoiding current blizzard conditions outside. Brrr….
Charlotte and Mark were an absolute blast to work with. I love when I find clients that have my same sense of dry sarcastic humor, makes for a very fun wedding day. Their day was full of very sweet personal touches. From Charlotte’s Mom officiating the ceremony to Mark’s love of films woven into the decor and details of the reception. Their plum, royal blue, and peacock pallete was so rich and photographed so beautifully. Though it was very warm, humid, and threatening rain all day we got the perfect weather and light just when we needed right before party time. Humidity seems to be a theme in their love story…..
‘It started with a phone call, from Mark to Charlotte. The first date was a simple one, dinner and a film (Water for Elephants), followed by shakes at Steak n Shake. The two shared conversation on this evening: May 11, 2011. Outside, the air was humid, so humid that the sky lit up with heat lightning.” (stolen from their wedding website ;))
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
Congrats Charlotte and Mark! I had such a wonderful time working with you both and wish you all the best of life together!
